The ACM School of Music has opened a new location in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood. In a partnership with Art on Sedgwick, ACM opens its new location at 1429 N. Sedgwick and will begin teaching piano lessons immediately with plans to add other instruments in the future.
“Our model was always to have small storefronts bringing music education into Chicago communities ,” says Executive Director Seth Boustead. “The vast majority of our students walk to their lessons and we look forward to serving the Old Town community.”
The ACM School of Music was started in 2007 to bring high quality music education into communities throughout Chicago with an especial focus on teaching creativity and composition. Since our modest beginning in a storefront on Wilson St. in Ravenswood the school has grown to have over 300 students in five locations throughout the city.
The school is an important part of our mission of integrating musical creativity into everyday life.
