Elementary Chamber Class

4 Weeks, 90 minute classes

What to Expect: 

The Elementary Chamber Class is designed to give players a fun opportunity to practice and perform with other members of their musical community. Its goal is to cultivate the teamwork and dedication needed to enjoy the endless repertoire chamber music has to offer. Classes will be held outside in front of All Saints Episcopal Church 4550 N Hermitage. Students will be required to wear a well-fitted mask and will need a music stand and clips.

Four week sessions of 1.5 hour classes starting Saturday, August 15th.

Due to the collaborative nature of this class, attendance of all classes is mandatory. In the case of rain, class will be held virtually. 

About the Instructor:

Traci Newhouse has been teaching at ACM since 2016. She performs regularly with Chicago ensembles A Light Sleeper, Origin of Animal, Folks Operetta, Windy City Opera and the Chicago Composers Orchestra. She is a passionate chamber musician and as a violist with the Maggiore String Quartet she has performed throughout Canada and collaborated with the Penderecki String Quartet and Shanghai String Quartets.
