Composers Announced for April “Late Night” Reading Sessions

Late Night at National Sawdust is a new quarterly concert series in collaboration with ACM, Open G Records and the WFMT Radio Network.

Each concert will be broadcast live on Relevant Tones, the world’s only weekly syndicated radio program dedicated to contemporary music.

In the hour and a half before each broadcast our musicians will give public read-throughs of new works sourced through an international call for scores.  We received 717 score submissions from over 500 composers in more than 30 countries. Selected works will be read and recorded and some of these may be chosen to be performed on future broadcasts.

For the next concert on April 21 our review panel has chosen three pieces to be read and recorded. They are:

Deux fois Miro by Adina Dumitrescu

Martyrium by Henrique Coe

Chaos by Ryan Homsey

Video of each piece will be posted shortly after the concert!
