Christopher M. Wicks was born in Silverton, Oregon in 1975. He is currently organist at Jason Lee United Methodist Church in Salem, OR and at the First Church of Christ, Scientist in the same city. He holds a M.Mus. in composition from the University of Montreal, and a BA in Music from Marylhurst University near Portland, Oregon.

The orchestra of Marylhurst University has performed five of his orchestral pieces, four concertos and an overture, in concert. In June of this year his a cappella choral piece "Missa Brevis" was premiered by the Luscinia Youth Choir Opava at the Jihlava Choral Festival in the Czech Republic, as result of the piece winning a prize in the festival's annual international composition contest.

He has given organ recitals in such milieux as Christ Church Cathedral (Anglican) in Montreal, and begins graduate studies in September 2004 in organ at the University of Oregon in Eugene.
