Jennifer Swanson holds a diploma from the Interlochen Arts Academy and a BM in flute performance from the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign where she studied with Jonathan Keeble. She has participated in the Opera and Orchestra Summer Festival of Lucca, Italy; the Madeline Island Chamber Music Summer Festival; and the Jeanne Baxtresser International Masterclass.

She has also performed in masterclasses for world renowned flutists such as Donald Peck, Bonita Boyd, Claire Southworth, Torei Ander, and others. She has performed with various ensembles in Chicago’s Symphony Center, New York’s Carnegie Hall, and several venues in Tuscany, Italy.

As a free lance flutist in Chicago she is exploring multiple musical genres and is currently a member of the Tomorrow Music Orchestra and the Belmont Trio. She is a regular performer at the Heaven Gallery in Chicago and co-coordinator of the gallery’s monthly Classical concerts.

She also holds a growing private flute studio and is the flute instructor at the Southport Performing Arts Conservatory and Entertainment (S.P.A.C.E.).
