Sound of Silent Film 2009

Integrating musical creativity into everyday life

SOSF_posterSound of Silent Film features newly composed scores performed live to modern silent films.

The highlights 2009 were a new score for Guy Maddin‘s classic film The Heart of the World and a new score for Oscar winning animated short Father and Daughter by Michael Dudok de Wit.  Both went on to be among the most performed and best-loved films and scores that we’ve featured on the festival.
