Spotlight Double Bass

Spotlight Double Bass is a collaboration between ACM and the International Society of Bassists that took place over the summer of 2005. The ISB did a call for scores and also gave us scores from their award winning member composers and we also accepted scores from Weekly Readings composers.

We then gave the scores to seven professional and promising graduate student bassists and recorded them between June and August.

The project culminated in a sold-out concert at Katerina's, a jazz club on Chicago's north side.
