Rags Stomps and Stride

Integrating musical creativity into everyday life

ragtime_poster_newsletterOur final concert of the 2008-2009 season featured the music of Chicago ragtime composer Reginald Robinson and other contemporary ragtime gems including music by Hal Isbitz, Chris Ware, Paul Schoenfield and David Schrader.

Reginald is the winner of the MacArthur “Genius” grant and a whale of a pianist and composer.  ACM’s founder Seth Boustead arranged three of his rags to include string quartet.

The post-concert reception also featured a ragtime jam session.
