Sound of Silent Film Festival

ACM's Sound of Silent Film Festival is the only film festival that features modern silent films screened to live music, composed especially for the film by Chicago composers. Did we mention also that it's BYOB?

This year's festival includes films by Oscar winning animator Michael Dudok de Wit and directors William Lorton, Lidia Sheinin, Martin Pickles, Andreas Krein and Billie Howard.

The highlight of the festival is a new score for Guy Maddin's classic short Heart of the World.
