Composer Alive: Toronto

Integrating musical creativity into everyday life

Screen Shot 2016-01-24 at 3.21.51 PMACM’s innovative summer project Composer Alive: Toronto came to its exciting conclusion with the World Premiere performance of a new piece by Canadian composer Omar Daniel.

Mr. Daniel’s piece, a set of preludes, was composed and recorded in installments over the summer of 2011 but had never before been performed in its entirety.

The concert, a collaboration with the Toronto Sister Cities committee, also featured an eclectic array of new chamber works by other contemporary Canadian composers.
