Robin ClevengerRobin Hayes Clevenger, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, received her Bachelor of Music degree in Horn Performance from Indiana University in 2001, and earned her Master of Music degree in Horn Performance in 2003 from the same institution. At IU, she was a student of Michael Hatfield and Richard Seraphinoff; Robin has also studied with David Griffin of the Chicago Symphony, and both Richard Deane and Susan Welty of the Atlanta Symphony.
Since relocating to Chicago in 2003, Robin has been active as a performer and teacher. Currently, she is Principal Horn of the Evanston Symphony, Fourth Horn of the Harper Symphony, and a member of both Harper Chamber Winds and Tomorrow Music Orchestra (an experimental jazz/classical ensemble).
She has performed with several orchestras in the region, including the Northwest Indiana Symphony, the Illinois Symphony, the Lafayette Symphony, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, the Green Bay Symphony, and the Dubuque Symphony. Also, Robin has played with several freelance groups in Chicago, including the Southport Symphony and Cagen Music.
As a teacher, she has private studios at Highland Park, Wheeling, Lake Zurich, and Mundelein high schools.
Aside from music, Robin enjoys reading, watching college football (particularly Auburn), and training for her first marathon in October. She and her husband, Wes, reside in Arlington Heights.
