Brad Brickner is a member of the music department at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. At Lab School, he teaches instrumental music to middle school students, and also directs the high school band. A graduate of Valparaiso University, his major teachers were C. Robert Rose, and Robert E. Onofrey. Brad is particularly interested in performing music for clarinet composed since 1945, especially compositions which employ various extended techniques such as microtones, percussive sounds, and multiphonics.
