Palomar will record the first installment in the new piece by Japanese composer Tomohisa Hashimoto as part of our Composer Alive: Nagoya project.
The sound file will be posted to the ACM site shortly after the rehearsal and will be presented with comments from the composer about his creative process and with comments from the performers about putting the music together.

July 12, 2010 -- Accessible Contemporary Music (ACM) presents Composer Alive: Nagoya, an internet-based collaboration with Japanese composer Tomohisa Hashimoto.
Emerging Japanese composer Tomohisa Hashimoto will compose a new musical work in three installments throughout the summer of 2010. Each installment will be emailed to ACM and recorded and posted to ACM’s website along with composer and performer comments.
Weekly Readings is a unique program in which we read and record a piece of music by a different living composers each week during our regular performance season.
These readings are then posted to our website and sent out in our newsletter. The object of the program is to make high quality professional musicians accessible to all composers.

The second installment in our collaboration with Japanese composer Tomohisa Hashimoto will be recorded on Monday, August 23 at 6:00 PM and posted to our website shortly afterward.
We have commissioned a new piece from Mr. Hashimoto which he is writing and emailing to us in installments. We are recording each installment as we receive it and posting them to our website.
